Dude this is gonna be buried. There's no way there's enough fans of the band here but if you can get anything to do with a shoegaze band from Edmonton called Faunts, I'd be elated. ESPECIALLY if it's from the High Expectations/Low Results album. I'd love to see an interview or a "What Makes This Song Great?" for High Expectations into Instantly Loved, Parler de la Pluie et du Beau Temps, Will You Tell Me Then. Or something from the M4 album; like M4 (Part I) and M4 (Part II).

I've been noodling with these tunings for a while now. I have a GAB ABC# Aolian harp Duress tuning song in the works right now, try this tuning it's very interesting! @Rick Beato did Adam mention if he uses standard gauge strings or if he chooses string gauges to match his tunings? This tuning is tightened much higher than standard so it makes me wonder. I think it's interesting that Swervedriver tuned up from standard while Chavez tuned down to drop A before anyone else went so low.
Chris Thacker
Chris Thacker 23 күн мурун
Adam on facebook said, "None of our tunings have more than a three semi-tone bend. Four and you'd probably wanna be looking at the next gauge in whichever direction I would say."

After being a fan for 30 years I feel very vindicated! Adam earns the crown of King of Shoe Gaze because he's been keeping the flame alive by touring and making new music. MBV despite their recordings have only ever spluttered in the wind. You guys should definitely colab it up in the future and give the genre a kick in the pants!

Absolutely love Swervedriver. I've been a fan since their debut when I saw the video for "Rave Down". Mezcal Head was on repeat throughout college but my personal favorite album of theirs is Ejector Seat Reservation. I don't think Ejector Seat Reservation was even released in the US initially and it was absolutely impossible to find. It's still hard to find. After searching for over a year, I finally found an import copy in 1996 at the Virgin Megastore in Times Square and paid a fortune for it. I remember listening to it for the first time and thinking it was one of the best albums I'd ever heard. It still sounds great to me. That album remains one of great unsung albums of the 90s are far as I'm concerned: it rocks, it's interesting, the lyrics are great and it's amazingly consistent all the way through. Great band. Their new stuff holds up brilliantly too.
